Downside: Dark green / dark sands beaches ( Not beautiful beaches)
Our Experiences: If you like beaches, go to the Caribbean. The best part of Costa Rica for us are the Volcanoes. You can get very close to the craters and there are several parks to do that. The city of San José, despite the fact it is the safest and best organized capital in Central America, it has almost no attractions for tourists. The Best San José attracction was our hotel. The Marriott hotel is a bit away from the city center and occupies a colonial style building in a big area, with beautiful gardens and pools. Nice place!
