Downside: Not too many attractions. Lack of architecture refinement.
Our Experiences: We only got to know the capital, Sofia. There were interesting Roman ruins emerging right now with excavations going on in downtown. Amazing. The shopping street of Vitosha is a charming place deserving a visit. Surprisingly they produce good wines in the country and have quite a passion for gastronomy.
