Our Experiences: One of us was in Prague in 1988 during the communist era. It was a shadowy ugly corrupt and oppressive city, where people were struggling for food in endless market lines. Sad experience. We have returned twice to the country afterwards. The music festival during the Spring is a Paradise for classical music lovers. The gothic architecture in the castle, the bridges and in Starometske Nameste is impressive. We also liked the restaurants in Mala Strana. For us, the best part of the country however, was city of Karlovy Vary ( Ex Carlsbad in Germany ) and its German delicate architecture. The Colonnade building and the bordering park are indeed the most picturesque portion of Czech Republic.
