Our Experiences: A long time ago we went to Malmoe and Gothemburg which are quite interesting cities with good restaurants and castles. But we haven´t got to know Sweden until we came to Stockholm and Uppsala. The capital city Stockholm is cosmopolitam has rich history well preserved in its museums and palaces Uppsala is a beautiful medieval city with nice monuments and open air spaces. It was the city we loved the most. Nothing in Sweden is in the high-end luxury standard, but everything runs smooth and perfectly. (And always expensive) A good example to illustrate that is a restaurant called Frantzén in Stockholm. It is actually one of the best in Europe. Frantzén restaurant serves a sky high priced meal prepared with devine perfection, but standing in a simple and cozy eatery. Very Swedish.
Hotels we love and recommend: Sheraton Stockholm.
