Our Experiences: Vanuatu stands in Melanesia, the portion of the Pacific Ocean inhabited by dark people that are connected to Papuans and live in a very rustic (almost stone-ages) way of life. The people of Vanuatu look completely different from the Polynesian. But Vanuatu was also strongly colonized by France and England and these Europeans brought modernization, including hotels, restaurants and yachts, making the capital Port Vila a nice port-of-call. The nature is so beautiful and untouched, that made us feel in heaven. Eaton Beach was an incredible place with huge coral reefs emerging from the blue water pools. But the best was the Blue Hole ocean trench ( Check the pictures) A turquoise-blue pool made by volcanic formation, surrounded by a dense forest that seems to be a kind of fake Hollywood arrangement. So damn beautiful !
Hotels we love and recommend: Ramada Resort, Port Vila
