Our Experiences: Kyrgyzstan is not a rich nation like some neighboring ones with lots of oil production. The capital Bishkek is not beautiful and the monuments and squares look like old Soviet forgotten scrap. The main attraction though is the Burana Tower 150 km east of Bishkek. This construction of the 10th century, originally a minaret, is one of the few remaining buildings left on the historic Silk Road.
