When to go: From December to March, the dry season.
Where to go: Luang Prabang and Kuang Si
Downside: Poor roads and lack of imported goods.
Our Experiences: Apart from its Southeast Asia neighbours, Laos has a small population of only 6 Million citizens. The major part of the land is covered with forests, mountains and farms. And also bombs. There are literally thousands of unexploded Vietnam War bombs covering half of the country land. So sad. But besides this, Laos is an untouched jewel with beautiful landscapes and nice people. The Mekong , one of the longest rivers on Earth, crosses the land creating pristine unspoiled sceneries. But the best for us was the Kuang Si falls and its clear water lakes. Wonderful place to visit!
