Where to go: Copan and San Pedro Sula
Downside: Poor country with few touristic structure. Some unsafe places.
Our Experiences: We drove a rental car, coming from Guatemala. In the mountains between both countries there is the famous ruins of Copan. It is a Huge historical city that was engulfed by the dense forests. The Mayan architecture is superb and their history is somehow mysterious. We loved it. The best part of San Pedro Sula are the Intercontinental Hotel and the airport. Nothing more.
