Where to go: Athens, Corinth and Peloponnesus, Crete, Mykonos, Zakynthos, Rhodes, Delos and Santorini.
Downside: Bad educated people sometimes crossing your way.
Our Experiences: We visited Greece Four times. Once we went to Athens and Peloponnesus and in the others, to the Islands portion. We rank the island as follows: #1 Zakynthos. #2 Crete. #3 Mykonos. #4 Santorini. #5 Rhodes. #6 Delos. #7 Euboea. The huge Greek history legacy is evident everywhere you go, especially in Athens, in the Peloponnesus and in Delphus region. But for us, more impressive of all was the visit to the Minoan civilization treasures, like the Minotaur Palace in Crete and the ruins of Thira, in Santorini. The Minoans lived peacefully in some of the Islands since 3,000 BC and then suddenly they disappeared in a catastrophic event around 1,600 BC. This episode has been linked recently to the famous legend of Atlantis. Amazing ! The best beaches are in Rhodes Island, In southern Crete and in Zakynthos Island.
