First Class and Business Class
Luxury travelers are primarily looking for comfort all the way and one thing that may be frightening is a long uncomfortable flight. In our point of view a good night sleep is mandatory on overnight flights, to the point that we may even change our trip routes to find a more comfortable option. About the comfort: Today almost all air carriers have full reclining seats on Business Class, where we can stretch your body in a 100% horizontal position. For most of the people this is the key factor for a good nigh sleep. However, when we come to First Class we see a big difference, as our bed looks like a real single bed where we may easily change our sleeping position during the night. It really feels like a hotel room. There is even space for a couple to watch TV sharing the same bed with privacy or maybe to spend some time with the kid during the night.
About the meals: As food lovers we can add that the past experiences we had with the meals do matter when choosing the air company. The point here is actually not to eat bad. We have recently experienced some bad Business Class dinners in American Airlines and TAP. This is something that would never happen in a First Class Cabin. In our experiences, the food always seemed to be prepared in a luxury gourmet restaurant, including luxury ingredients such as Oscietra Caviar and couvée Champagnes. Everything served by a dedicated waiter-like staff who know about gastronomy and wines. This can make the difference.
About the price. In a cold number analysis, if we consider a First Class ticket costs in average more than twice a Business Class ticket, than this is a strong decisive element. Our choice is always for the Business class for a regular trip situation. The First Class cabin is left only for special occasions. Even better when we are travelling between Asia and Europe, where the best First Class services are present.
Unfortunately the air carriers are little by little ditching their First Classes. Many long flights throughout the world don’t offer the service anymore. We hope it doesn´t dosappear.
